Rachel and I had a blast at the sale today. Hamilton United Methodist Church made us feel most welcome and we had a great time meeting everyone and getting our name out there.

It was a great experience and we will be looking for more events to join up with, so we can keep meeting everyone and spreading the handmade joy.

We just wanted to thank everyone who came out and stopped by to say hello and see what we have to offer.

Please stay tuned to this spot on the internet, we'll be revamping the site, adding some of Rachel's wonderful creations (she makes hair bows, candles and soaps) to my crochet and sewn items. In the meantime, show us some love! If you met us at the fair today, leave us a message!

So, this came for yours truly today, my Uglee Little Things booth banner. *deep breath*

It's all coming true. I'm taking ULT out into the real world (it's been on the internet for a while, and I've had LOTS of custom orders, so it's been in the real world, but y'all know what I mean!) And I'll be honest, it makes me nervous and excited and it worries me and makes me happy. In short, I'm nothing but a bundle of nerves right now.

However, I do have a bunch of great people cheering me on, so I'm not quite a nervous as I could be. Danny, Daddy, Mama Carol, Ma Dorothy, Beth, Tyler, everyone who has ever bought anything from me:

I LOVE Y'ALL MORE THAN YOU KNOW! Thank you all so very much for believing in me and knowing before I ever did that I can do this!

I know it's been a long time since I posted here. I can be the worst at blogging.

But, those of you who know us, know there has been a HUGE change in our lives recently! And it's been very exciting!
We've moved our home base from the foothills of the Piedmont mountains to my hometown of Nashville, TN! YAY! It was a very hard decision for my hubby, Danny, and he misses the kids horribly. But, Nashville is pretty much the heart of the music industry and after being asked for so many years to come here and set up shop, he weighed out the pros and cons, made his decision and announced it. So, here we are!

There are so many wonderful things coming to Uglee Little Things that I have no idea where to begin, but I can assure you, the only direction we are moving in is UP. It took a little while to get settled into our new home, and we've been reconnecting with old friends, making new ones and enjoying ourselves and our new life here.

As I finish up a wonderfully colorful custom order, I am thinking of all the other designs I have knocking around in my head and all the new things I am learning and how I can hardly wait to show them to you all! I am sure you will love them as much as I do!

Join me as I start to gear up for fall and winter and new babies and new adventures. Soon I will be doing video blogs so all y'all can hear my super atrocious Southern accent. I will also be introducing you guys to the people behind the scenes here, the ones who have been cheering me on, and the ones I love. I will be glad to have y'all along for the ride!

Love,
Michele

I'm always trying to come up with new ideas and find new inspiration around me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Like the sweater on my dog Eddie. I thought it was a brilliant idea, he didn't, and because I made it a little too big for him - I didn't want to make it too snug because he's such a hairy little bugger - he promptly figured out that by walking backwards under the coffee table, he can take it off. Yeah, that means one of two things, either I need to frog this sweater (pull it out) and remake it or I have an exceptionally smart dog. I think I'll go with the latter, and just believe he's smart.

And in other news, I had mentioned that I wanted to find a yarn holder that would keep my yarn clean while I worked on projects outside. Yesterday, my sister Stacey came through. Of course we had to put the silly thing together, but it will work and it made me very happy. Now when it's nice outside, I can sit in the sun and work on whatever Uglee Little Things project I happen to have on my hook at the time!

I guess that's it for now. The project I have on my hook at the moment is a Legionnaire cap in some super soft, very black yarn. It's a big step away from the sunshine yellow prototype I made while we were in a storm induced black out this past Tuesday. I found it was rather difficult to work with black yarn by candle light LOL!

That's it for now, like I always say, stay tuned for more happenings from Uglee Little Things!
